There goes the neighbourhood. Li Wei is a Beijing-based artist who specialises in shock performance and visual art. Born into a farmer’s family in a Chinese village, he travelled to Beijing to explore his artistic ideas, and has now had exhibitions in Milan and Madrid. His signature Mirror series has him walking around with a large mirror affixed to his neck, making his head look like it’s floating on thin air. Don’t ask me how he manages to look like he’s flying out that office block window, though. He claims not to use any photo manipulation or digital retouching at all, and these photographs are documentation of his actual performance art. I’m digging it.

Check out his website here.

(Mad props go out to my man Phrozt of the Rogue Squadron for letting me know about Li Wei. You have way too much time on your hands, dude.)
