After years of living in the shadows of our neighbours, and intermittent weekend design gatherings, KL lands its own week long international design festival. Scheduled for March/April 2009, it will showcase the fantastic work Malaysian has to offer, and there will be workshops and international speakers. www.kldesignweek.com

Finally, there is a design festival in Kuala lumpur. I agree with you that we have been living in the shadows and now its the time for Kuala lumpur. This should be an event to look forward to as we approach 2009. Its a good event to practise our photography skills too.
